On Thursday 7 September, Veolia Southwark’s Integrated Waste Management Facility will be screening A Plastic Ocean, a feature-length documentary that follows a team of researchers around the world’s oceans, revealing the devastating impact of plastic pollution. The event is part of the Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festival.

As a Core Partner of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation New Plastics Economy Veolia will also be hosting a Q&A session with Greenpeace oceans campaigner Louisa Casson. Both the film and Q&A will create a platform for discussion about plastics; looking at the current issues and environmental impacts of the plastic industry as well as exploring circular economy principles and a more sustainable system.

The screening is free and will take place at 8pm at Veolia’s Education and Visitor Centre where refreshments will also be provided. Places are limited and will be available on a first come first served basis.
