We are very pleased to announce our Day of the Dead Ball at The Dye House, Nutbrook Studios, 33 Nutbrook Street, SE15 4JU It's all happening on Saturday October 27th from 8pm til 1am... which is as close to the real Day of the Dead as we could get... We're going to turn The Dye House into a dayglo and ultra violet night club for one night only and have lined up some top entertainment to keep everyone amused. The Henry Brothers are a bluegrass duo we came across at Camp Bestival - sweet sweet harmonies that will make you weep, or at least they made us weep anyway - check out their myspace. Mrs Mills Experience hail from Brixton reviving old time singalongs with great aplomb, and a lot of larfs along the way. Lewis Floyd Henry has seen his one man band show go global this year - with festival shows all over Europe, and topping the bill in Japan with great success. We said he was going to be big when we booked him 2 years ago - and that's just what has happened. But he still loves us and has gracefully accepted an invite to do his thang. Simon Spoons - European spoon Champion and one unsung kings of rock n roll - he's spooned with the Rolling Stones and Dolly Parton, the lucky dog. All girl 60's dance troupe The Actionettes will be strutting their glorious stuff to the most wigged out tunes we can cobble together from across the last 70 years of music. Its a fancy dress thing - the more skulls the merrier - but of course you don't have to - but the best dressed boy and girl will be crowned "King and Queen of the Dead" and get two lovely bottles of bubbly each. Tickets are available now at www.thedulwichukuleleclub.co.uk and hopefully soon from Hope and Greenwood, North Cross Road. Everybody gets a free shot on the way in, and there'll be lots and lots of extra scary stuff too. Put on your dancing shoes ladies and gents, we're really pushing the boat out for this one.
